To the donors of the Douglas K.K Chung Memorial Scholarship, I sincerely appreciate and am thankful for the opportunity to receive this token of generosity from the bottom of my heart. This scholarship means more than just a mahalo to me. It means that in this world, people believe in me and are willing to invest in an individual such as myself. this means that you believe that when I go out into the world, I will be a contributing member of society who holds themselves to the same standards as when I was chosen to receive this scholarship. All of this I say cannot be contained in the mere words of thank you. But I will say that I will strive to meet the expectations that you donors, as well as Pauahi, have held me accountable to.
