Collectively, we have made great progress and growth, but what excites us the most is the enormous potential we have to do even more.

Aloha. I just want to thank the donors of Kamehameha Schools Class of 1975 Scholarship for giving me the opportunity to continue my post-secondary education. I can't express in enough words how thankful I am. This award will help me in more ways than words can describe. It has allowed me the gracious opportunity to continue my post -secondary education by alleviating the financial burden that often is associated with college. Giving the chance to continue down the path of computer science and biology, in the hopes of becoming a computational biologist is the best gift I could ever receive. In light of this opportunity, I want to be able to come back to Hawai'i and focus on biotech to help the place that I call home. This award motivates me to help other Hawai'i students and gives me a sense of purpose. During this upcoming school year, I plan to give a voice to other women in tech/STEM and plan to make it on the dean's list for this semester. I am hoping to share the generosity that was bestowed upon me and be able to help the next generation of students!Aloha Pu'uwai Hau Kila Scholarship donors, I am deeply grateful for your generosity, which has greatly lightened the financial burden that is often associated with college. My ‘ohana and I are able to alleviate stress, and this opportunity enabled me to focus fully on my studies. Your support is a crucial part of my educational journey, I am now able to continue down the path of computer science and biology allowing me to pursue my passion of becoming a computational biologist. This year, I aim to excel academically and contribute positively to my community. Being a part of the Women in Tech club eBoard at the University of San Francisco, I plan on uplifting other women pursuing careers in tech, as well as pave the way for other Native/ indigenous people. After completing my education, I want to be able to come back to Hawai'i and focus on biotech to help the place that I call home. This award motivates me to help other Hawai'i students and gives me a sense of purpose. Your kindness inspires me to strive for excellence and to pay it forward in the future. Again mahalo nui loa for this opportunity you have bestowed upon me.
