Mahalo donors of the Nanea Scholarship! This means so much because I normally work a lot to help pay for school. Now, I can use this extra time to do an internship at an optometrist’s office and study for the OAT to get into optometry school. My ʻohana is also very thankful because times have been really tough because of COVID. I plan to become an optometrist and return to Hawaiʻi to help the community that raised me. One thing that comes to mind is I will help others who also want to go into optometry by offering internships for work experience. Mahalo everyone!!!
