Mahalo nui to the donors of the David A. Mortensen KS ’71 D.A.M Scholarship. I am so blessed to have been awarded this scholarship which will help with the costs as I continue my education in Public and Emergency Health / Sports Medicine. This means so much to my ʻohana and me because I will be a first-generation college student. I plan to take advantage of everything the university has to offer, become an EMT and eventually work my way up to becoming an air evac or go into sports medicine. I hope to obtain the knowledge and skills to not only advance myself but also to help the community.
