Mahalo nui donors for this opportunity to receive this scholarship and further my education and career in part, in your honor. This means a lot to my ʻohana and me. I intend to dedicate my work towards closing the gaps of health disparities of Native Hawaiians to produce positive change within the healthcare system. To do this, I am seeking to further my education and achieve the highest level of a nursing degree, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).With a DNP and nurse practitioner licensure, I will have the autonomy to serve as health coach and educator for my patients within the native Hawaiian community and beyond.
