I am deeply grateful for your generous support, which not only honors me but also my 'ohana. Your kindness and belief in my potential mean more to us than words can express. This academic year, your scholarships will alleviate the financial burden, allowing me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies and research. As I continue my second year of my doctorate program, I am working on creating a pilot program aimed at reducing the rate of recidivism in Hawaii’s prisons by intertwining education and culture, with a special focus on supporting Native Hawaiians. Your support is pivotal in helping me pursue this important work.My goal for this year is to further develop and implement this program, contributing to meaningful change in our community. By reducing recidivism rates and providing better support for those in need, I hope to honor the values of our culture and uplift our people.Once again, mahalo for your generosity and support. Your belief in me fuels my dedication to my educational journey and future aspirations.
