To my donors, Manowai and Pu'uwai Hau Kila, you are changing the trajectory of my life in ways that I didn’t think was possible. I truly thank you. I am gracious and humbled to have been awarded these scholarships. This will allow me to pursue an education free from financial hardships and break generational curses. To my tutu who worked three jobs and raised her kids in a shack on homestead land, to my mom who works two full-time jobs, and to my fellow Native Hawaiians who have also struggled to live on their own ancestral lands: we’re almost there.
