Our impact
Collectively, we have made great progress and growth, but what excites us the most is the enormous potential we have to do even more.

Aloha e donors of The Hawai'i Island New Knowledge Scholarship, I am grateful to your generosity and for bestowing this privilege upon myself. I'm excited to enter this new term knowing I have support to finish my bachelors degree. this will help me fund my tuition and board for this upcoming school term. Mahalo nui loa, I am happy to express your continued support throughout my college career and I appreciate every year I've received this scholarship in the past up until now. Again thank you for this opportunity and I would like to share my hopes for these next few year as I am deciding between entering graduate school or the workforce. I am passionate within the realm of remediation and I believe Hawai'i needs the support in revitalizing its spaces that have been mistreated, from the poor management leading to chemical, sewage and heavy metal contaminates within our soils and water resources. With that said, I hope to bridge communities actively working to reclaim our native spaces for agriculture and cultural practice with modernized solutions for quick and sustainable recovery. Overall, I hope you see value in my interests beyond school, and acknowledge its significance here in today's Hawai'i. Moving forward your award will help me to complete this chapter of my life, so I may continue pursuing greater opportunities.
