My name is Teave Heen and I'm the recipient of your Scholarship for the Academic Year 2024-2025. With your generous sponsorship I'm able to pursue my passion for overall health and wellbeing, healing generational trauma amongst our native community through personal experience and knowledge gained at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa.I'm a Master's student entering my 2nd year of the Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, Myron B Thompson School of Social Work. Throughout my degree, I've maintained a GPA of 3.7 while participating in various community programs advocating for health and wellness in our personal lives and for our ʻāina. I look forward to pursuing a career upon my graduation in 2025 in the area of rehabilitation on the foundation of aloha ʻāina. I'm confident that the expertise and knowledge I've gained at University of Hawaii will help me to make a lasting difference in our lāhui. The Scholarship paid for part of my tuition expense which alleviated my financial burden and allowed me to focus on my studies. Thank you for your support.Mahalo Nui, Teave H Heen
