I want to extend my most profound appreciation for granting me this scholarship, The Pauahi Foundation Makuakane Inspirational Educator ScholarshipI ended this last semester with a 4.0 GPA and enrolled in one summer school class. For the Fall 2024 school year, I have transferred to the University of Hawaii at Manoa to continue my education journey in my undergraduate program, earning my bachelor's in Hawaiian Studies. I have enrolled in the Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, focusing on Kukulu Aupuni: Envisioning the Nation.This has been a dream of mine since the late 1990s. Being accepted into a program that rarely accepts distance learning students is a great honor.This scholarship will help me fulfill my dreams, which would have been impossible financially.This is a two-year program, and I am enrolled in summer school to get an early start. After finishing, my ultimate goal is to become a Hawaiian Studies teacher and give back to the community I love.Thank you again for selecting me as the recipient of these scholarship.
