Growing up surrounded by situations that no one should ever experience, I knew I wanted my future to look nothing like those around me and I was the only one who could define it, I could either be a stereotype or beat it. Now, everything I worked and sacrificed for, has paid off. I was granted the opportunity to continue my education and expand my knowledge and experience. So, thank you for giving back. I pray that I reach my goals so that I can be in your shoes one day–helping people to broaden their horizons. In the beginning, I said only I can define my future but without your generosity I would not be certain that I could achieve what I want.
